Family Weekend (more info here) is a highlight of a student college experience, giving families the opportunity to experience the Gator Nation! From lectures to student performances to athletic events, the campus is lively this time of year. We invite you to complete an application to receive funding to share your first-generation experience with your family!

This year, First-Generation Student Success has partnered with New Student and Family Programs to create a unique experience for students interested in attending Fall Family Weekend! Thanks to a generous grant awarded to the First-Generation Student Success office, we are able to fund 10 students interested in attending Family Weekend Fall 2018.

Funding will cover:

♦ 1 night of your 2 night stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson (you must pay for one night)

♦ Free registration for Family Weekend Orange Package activities (view schedule here) for you and up to two family members including  the Gators @ Mississippi State Football game viewing tailgate and party

♦ Lunch on Sunday with other first-generation students, families, and campus staff and faculty members

♦ Opportunity to connect with the Admissions office to assist younger family members interested in attending UF

Requirements for funding include:

♦ Being a first-generation student at UF (neither parent has earned a bachelor’s degree or higher)

♦ Completing application

♦ Eligible for a Pell Grant
