Welcome to the First-Generation Student Success website! The term first-generation refers to students who are the first in their families to attend college. More specifically, it means that a student's parents have not earned a bachelor’s degree. Students who have siblings in college but whose parents did not earn a bachelor's degree are considered first-generation. Our office is here to provide UF first-generation students with opportunities and resources to navigate towards a successful college experience. Please feel free to look around our site to learn more about the different opportunities you can get involved with. Our office is located in 155 Tigert Hall, Vice President for Student Affairs; contact us if you have any questions!
The various programs offered by the Office of First-Generation Student Success aim to increase the success of all first-generation students at UF.
-Specifically, we help students:
-Develop college success strategies
